Dairy Farming – A Family Tradition

Sixty years after his grandfather started a dairy farm in Lamar County, Alabama, Will Gilmer and his father proudly carry on a modern version of the tradition. While staying current with the times and technology have undoubtedly changed daily life – as evidenced by their Facebook page – time-honored core values remain at the heart of their business.

Caring for more than 200 Holstein cows and the 600 acres of land that feed and house them requires more than meets the eye. Driven by a passion for farming and pride in their products, the Gilmers incorporate technology and advances into everything from formulating the feed to tracking crops, all the while embracing the family aspect of this multi-generational farm.
